wonder if the $7,000,000 to Penn State had any impact on their decision?

Well, not pulling that $7M would put them in violation of their own policy, wouldn't it? It was either that, or their corporate sponsors started leaning on them.

Problem is, if this turns out to be true, they're still screwed. There are a lot of women who will remember this action and still not support them. And if this is true, they just lost all their anti-choice supporters.

And I ran two years for them. Run for life? Yeah, only if it is for Republican women. As far as they are concerned everybody who isn't a Republican can go to hell.

Just see if I give a damn when they ask for money and involvement. Yes, the damage has been done. Those old biddies care more about politics than they do about people and I'm pretty much fed up with that.

"Conclusive" in nature? What is that supposed to mean -- that the grant money is restored if the outcome is a satisfactory one?

Let them replace the people who pushed this decision. If they do that much, then they're on probation at best.

Their current leadership used the organization's funding power to push an agenda that has nothing to do with the foundation's stated goals. If they want people to trust them with their money again, they're going to have to earn it.

...the request that we all just "leave this behind us and forget that it ever happened" is simply not going to happen unless and until there are some resignations and clear evidence that politics will not play into their decisions going forward. They still need to answer for their decisions to cut stem-cell research in November of last year...http://www.care2.com/causes/susan-g-komen-foundation-also-stops-funding-embryonic-stem-cell-research.html

The cancer remains in the form of Komen's VP Ms Handel. Until she's cut away from the charity completely, she can only be considered dormant. Even then, the organization will forever retain a stigma of RW activism.

"It is our hope and we believe it is time for everyone involved to pause, slow down and reflect on how grants can most effectively and directly be administered without controversies that hurt the cause of women. We urge everyone who has participated in this conversation across the country over the last few days to help us move past this issue. We do not want our mission marred or affected by politics - anyone's politics."

Move along, nothing to see here. I think a bright light has been shone on upper management that will leave a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths.

Although with what I know about Komen now? It doesn't change anything that they changed their minds about PP.

That movie that is coming out about them is above and beyond their politics; it's about using breast cancer and charity as a way to get rich- that's not OK with me.

So, good that they apologized; good that Planned Parenthood will receive funding but still:

And it is clear where the public support is on this: Planned Parenthood won this fight big time, in monetary donations and opinion.
