Great article about Victoria Jackson in the Miami New Times last week.....

Victoria Jackson doesn't want to meet at her house. "The Nation of Islam wants to kill me," she explains apologetically in her inimitable shrill voice. Instead, she picks up a reporter at a Miami-area strip mall. Her weathered Honda Civic is adorned with "Nobama," Marco Rubio, and Tea Party bumper stickers, and inside, it smells like it's been fumigated with sweet incense.

Sure, she's brighter and more rational than Sean Hannity, but don't let that stop you!

I am trying to imagine what it would look like in a universe where "The Nation of Islam" gives two hoots in a rain barrel about a washed up, has-been comedienne, much less care to expend the energy to kill her. I am trying to imagine what the mass riots would look like, where large hair bows are burned in effigy and billions of VHS tapes of her SNL sketches are mercilessly stomped to pieces. That would be an odd universe.

and that was during a time when they had some pretty good people. i knew she had gone around the bend some time ago. a few years back when i first heard her right wing incarnation i thought it was a parody and re-evaluated my opinion of her. then, a couple of minutes later i found out it was real.

yikes

Right around the time when people realized her "ditzy blonde" act was for real.

She never demonstrated that she had even the slightest iota of comedic talent. I'd love to know the story behind how she somehow was selected to join the cast above so many other truly talented comedians from around the nation.
