"Do you plan to vote Republican or Democrat in the next election? Press '1' for Republican, '2' for Democrat."
I pressed '2'.
"Thank you for your participation."

I bet if I'd pressed '1' there would have been more questions.
I live in the reddest county in a red state.
Next time I'll press '1' and mess with 'em.

(6,670 posts)Now I'll admit that I once shut down a whole grocery store that way. They had new card readers, it said credit or debit, I pushed debit, then, just for fun, before anything else happened, I pushed #. Not only did my card reader lock up, all the cash registers in the store as well as all the card readers locked up. And it was at midnight, and a manager with authority and smarts to fix it wasn't available for a while. In my heart of hearts, I suspect Windows was involved.
I get that when they ask me about TV. As soon as they hear that I don't own one, they quit asking questions. Internet? They never heard of it, I guess.
