"In the case of the Altay people, the scientists found a mutation in one paternal lineage that arose about 18,000 years agoa genetic marker that's also found in modern-day Native Americans.
The finding dovetails with previous studies, including some by Schurr, that found a shared mutation in the two groups' mtDNA, one that arose around the same time as the newfound Y chromosome mutation."

(2,289 posts)that there has been no evolution. Also, the world wasn't here 18000 years ago. God put the Native Americans here to give the missionaries people to forcibly convert.

I hate all that young earth non-science stuff. I'm sure that back in their churches the preachers would tell the 'faithful' that articles like this are just attempts by the devil to lead them astray. It scares me that these 'christian taliban' types manage to get so much say and could someday inflict their crazy on the children of our country.
