Toothless Pa. woman robbed bank to buy dentures

(CBS/AP) WAYNESBURG, Pa. - A woman who appeared to not have any teeth in surveillance photos from a western Pennsylvania bank robbery last month has confessed, apologized and told police she planned the heist because she needed the money for dentures.
Evelyn Marie Fuller, 49, of Carmichaels, on Wednesday remained in the Greene County Jail unable to post bond on bank robbery and other charges filed Tuesday by police in Waynesburg, where she allegedly robbed the First National Bank on Jan. 20.

Arresting Officer Tom Ankrom said Fuller explained her motives when she confessed to the crime.

"During her confession, she stated she wanted to use the money to pay for dentures she was unable to get through welfare until next year," Ankrom said.

You need teeth to eat. I know you can get by without them but just think of the cost in pride and health one pays not having teeth.
My hope is my teeth out live me.

Once convicted and in prison, she will probably get a set of dentures, paid for by the state. It would have been cheaper and easier if the state had just gotten her the dentures without all this. This will prove to be a very expensive set of dentures, for all concerned.

Another time when doing whats right to begin with would have averted a crime where someone could have gotten hurt. I didn't read the story so I don't know if she had a gun or not but I do know that security and cops carry guns for the most part and from my experience I'd say about half of those employed by security or cops shouldn't be allowed near a gun. So yes someone could have been hurt

Her note to the teller indicated she had a gun, so whether she had one or not, it's considered armed robbery.

She may get off due to diminished capacity. Whatever happens, I hope she gets some teeth.

Yeah, security guards with guns are most scary.
