Newsweek/Daily Beast: The War on Christians

We hear so often about Muslims as victims of abuse in the West and combatants in the Arab Spring’s fight against tyranny. But, in fact, a wholly different kind of war is underway—an unrecognized battle costing thousands of lives. Christians are being killed in the Islamic world because of their religion. It is a rising genocide that ought to provoke global alarm
.
We have all heard of Islamophobia. But according to the author of this article, Christophobia is rampant in many
Muslim-majority nations. This article is an interesting read and it raises many questions. It is not a case of citing Christophobia in order to excuse Islamophobia. Both are wrong and both need to be condemned. I would hope that those who have been speaking out against abuses of Muslims, and rightly so, will also join in an effort to oppose the severe treatment that many Christians are getting in Muslim majority nations.

I've read two amazing books by that phenomenal woman! Regardless of her politics - she is a good role model for any human being facing violence and repression. How she 'took off' and went to foreign country to survive? Love her!

She was first elected to the Dutch Parliament in 2003 and the whole 'Submission' flap and Theo van Gogh murder was in 2004.
