(23,998 posts)1. Is it Star Wars Day everywhere? Is there really a parade?
Nobody ever tells me anything.

(53,661 posts)3. Haha. Here you go:
Luke had some bad days. I saw the first Star Wars flick at a theatre in SoCal with a special screen, the largest I'd ever seen. I forgot what it was called. It was a great time.
My friends and I had been out to the beach and the next day we went mountain climbing, then down to Death Valley and Borrego Springs before making it back to the beach.
California has everything. Isn't there going to be another Star Wars movie, or is another Indiana Jones movie?
I don't keep up.

Mark my words.

(2,770 posts)6. He doesn't have to.
There will be certain DUers claiming that he DID declare it "Star Trek Day".
They'll post several OPs about it, they'll get a few hundred responses full of outrage at the VERY IDEA!!! - and then, when it is pointed out to them that Obama proclaimed no such thing, they'll start expressing their outrage that he DIDN'T have the balls to initiate "Star Trek Day" in the first place.
"Why is he stuck in the past? Why is he so out-of-touch with the millions of Trekkies who are teh backbone of this nation?"
Sometimes the poutrage just writes itself.
