I missed the SC-1 first time, hence the previous self deletion.
Still, SC-1 is highly repuke and some people in this state will vote for anything with an R next to the name!

(700 posts)Having grown up in Charleston and graduated from Carolina in Columbia, I agree that having an R next to your name in the state of SC almost means getting elected no matter what. But fortunately there are some blue spots statewide that make sanity possible.
Sadly when I left SC I moved to another red state (and seemingly getting redder) Missouri! YIKES!
I an eagerly awaiting the results of the election in SC-1 next week. Despite the district being conservative, I think we have a chance to turn it blue. If so, Bravo SC!!!
I am a transplant to SC (marriage) and initially it was quite a culture shock... but there really are lots of "great places and smiling faces" here; and you're right some areas are definitely turning blue.
