Red, black and blue imaginary lines on a map are just that... imaginary, regardless of when they were first imagined.

Wikipedia suggests that a guy named Martin Waldseemüller named the continent "America" on his maps starting in 1507.

So, if we want to pick nits, then I'd say it's fair to say it was referred to as "America" by some back then.

Since we're picking nits about what's named "America," we can be reasonably sure that white babies have *always* been in the minority.

Native American and Hispanic (and Black) births out-numbered white births well into the 19th Century, long after the naming of "America."

In my multi ethnic apartmends looking at so many brown kids, I think they are lucky.

Here I am trying to be just like them, a beautiful variation of brown.

So much for being white, huh?

I especially like the way the kids get along.

Bodes well for our future.

By the way, you must be in So. Cal. ---it is definitely a lay by the pool day here!

We actually have a large 'majority base' of other than white,

They have the tan I would "die" for.

I am so frickin jealous!

impressed with her arms and my next thought was, "I wonder who sprayed her tan on?"

I am an idiot.
