Meet two-year-old Hannah Warren

Two-year-old Hannah Warren was born without a trachea. A few weeks ago, she received a trachea transplant that was constructed out of plastics and her own stem cells. She is the youngest patient to undergo this surgery, and only the sixth in the world. Though she has relied on an artificial windpipe to breathe since the day she was born, she is already breathing on her own for the most part and has been quite responsive.

Stuff like this make me so happy, that we as humans can be so much more then what we are. Like some scifi show, saying we reached for the stars, something like that.

here's to an education system that helped her doctor achieve this.

May I also put in a plug to donate blood on a regular basis. You never know - you may be a small part of something wonderful.

She sure is cute.
