Justice wanted

A serious concern I have about the GOP convention.

It looks like Romney is winning the nom BUT there is a HUGE wing of the Republician party that just hate him and will not vote for them.

Now couldn't someone like Jeb Bush come forward and "throw his hat" into the ring during the convention and actually become nominated as the republician candidate?

I ask and worry about this because everyone is so sure it will be Romney and "plans of attack" are being laid out BUT what if the Nom ends up being someone different. Someone who might actually give Obama a run for his money and well could really do some damage to our country.

I only ask because I have conservative family members who think Obama is all but won especially if Romney is the nom.

I know I know some people are going to say am I crazy for asking this because Romney nom would be like Christmas in July. Or why should I care. I am just concerned with what might be thrown at the Dems.

And it would be so smart, eliminating all the negative issues and starting fresh. I hope your wrong... And I have my doubts that they are that strategic.

They want a Bush/Daniels GOP ticket. Good thinking. You can see through the Smokescreen. My bet is it will happen.

People who don't have Republican relatives may not be aware of how much distaste their is for Romney.

Romney would be THE dream come true because not only would the President win but so mucy of the Republican base would stay away that it would cost them House and Senate seats.

I can't see how they will tolerate that.

In any case there is almost no way Romney has enough delegates to secure the nomination before the convention.

I know he wants to be president, the power brokers in the party would support him, and he could definitely do a whole lot of damage to the country. But I don't think many Americans would be eager to vote for another Bush just 4 years after the disaster the last one left. I don't know who else they could nominate either. Maybe Chris Christie, but he has already declined to run. So I think they'll be stuck with Rmoney, whether they like it or not.

having brokered conventions or last minute drama about nominating someon other than the guy winning all the primaries would do one thing--crater any momentum of the GOP and hand the presidency to Obama in a landslide.

What you worry about is my wet dream, in this case.

lend you ears to a Tampa Boy.

Marco Rubio nor Jeb Bush gave the endorsement to Romney, indeed, they have both been very clear about that in the local papers. That means they plan a swoop. There is nothign stopping the GOP from having a brokered convention, and even if they did crush a rule, the GOP would treat said rules like a "godamned piece of paper." Florida boys Rush L. and Glenn Beck will be there, of course, as well as Joe Scab. The Dominoes are laid. The whole idea is to waste money on attacking Romney and Newt, and then along comes Jeb and Marco, who could get the GOP out to the polls. Add to this that Tampa got a several billion dollar grant to in effect militarize downtown Tampa...we will have DRONES flying about.

August 27, 2012 - August 30, 2012. Katrina was a late August hurricane.
Nature abhors a vacuum and with so many vacuous ReTHUGS in town I'd bet on a hurricane.
