7. For the record, I have nothing against facial hair.

I wouldn't mind growing some myself, actually. Only thing stopping me is timing. I would need a good "beard vacation" from work. Tried doing it over the Christmas holidays but you know, have to be clean shaven for all the Christmas pictures and all.

I just thought it was funny how the author remarked on the sometimes odd facial hair of the participants.

Actually, crazy facial hair is probably the one objectively "cool" thing about the otherwise travesty that is the NRA convention.

Just keep the bottom edge of the beard/neck trimmed, and you'll go through the "George Michael" phase on the way to whatever facial hair you want. It looks plenty professional, but then again I live in Seattle.

19. I'll tell you what it is...this morning on my way to work....

....I was stopped at the light behind a big black SUV with a decal on the back window. It was a huge image with a gun pointed at me. The caption read: "Think twice. Because I won't." So I was threatened with a gun on my way to work. For no reason at all.

This is a bassackward, Tealiban-run redneck state, so I guess I ought not be surprised.

THAT is gun culture.

Oh - and the rednecks running this place and their NRA friends want to make conceal & carry legal in restaurants and bars - and on college campuses. Guns and booze. WHAT could possibly go wrong with that?
