Cleveland Ohio missing women UPDATE: Women May Have Been Pregnant Multiple Times

Women May Have Been Pregnant Multiple Times

CLEVELAND — Law enforcement sources say they are investigating allegations that three missing women found alive Monday in a Seymour Avenue may have been pregnant multiple times. It is unclear if more than one child had been born.

The sources also say that the victims, Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, all appear to be malnourished, and that Knight may have suffered hearing loss. She has reportedly told police she was hit in the head. She may also have structural damage to her face.

A source further noted that Knight told police that there was another woman in the home when she got there, but one day she woke up and the woman was gone. There is writing on the wall in the basement which includes the name of a female and says, “Rest In Peace,” but police do not know if that is related to the case at this time.

accidentally killed her, or she died from medical neglect.

I hope these three monsters spend the rest of their lives in jail. I can hope they receive the same horrific treatment they dished out to these young women.

DUers don't have to go scanning GD for breaking developments, and it helps prevent people from commenting/questioning development #1 when development #8 gets everybody up to speed, and is in the same thread...just imo

of course in a perfect world, the forum structure would allow moderators to just merge threads...

... because the folks that might have seen the first update might not think about clicking on the thread again to see any other updates.

Anyway, I haven't posted all of the updates that are out there just the ones that I thought have been interesting/important

I've heard it mentioned there was another girl who disappeared from the same neighborhood...perhaps it was her. The other thing is the main suspect's daughter is currently in jail for killing her 11 month old child - are we absolutely certain it was her child?

but I was thinking it was one of the kidnapped women's child and she killed it...they just assumed it was hers.

And it would explain his daughter's actions. Especially if her child was a female who she thought would grow up to be trapped in that situation.

Tragic.

Thanks for that. There is still so much about this case we do not know. Yesterday was consumed with relief that the ordeal was over for them (at least, their confinement was over) but I have a feeling we're going to learn things that are going to turn our stomachs.

... and chances are lots of them are alive and being held captive somewhere.

There are currently 45 female and 51 male open missing persons cases just in Cleveland, here: http://www.cleveland.com/datacentral/index.ssf/2013/05/nearly_100_missing_person_case.html

Wonder what the number for the whole USA is.

a building. FBI can pick a day and a city and hit up every either suspicious house or boarded up house looking for live beings.
They wouldn't even have to enter the house.

Wouldn't bother me, not hiding anybody anywhere.

Christ, these girls went through some evil shit.

This was in an upscale neighborhood in Los Angeles. She was late 20s. So scary. The guy crawled in the window and it was a huge house where she rented a room. Not sure why she wasn't checked on but there was a reason. I'm pretty sure she had the help required to get past it as well as possible.

It happens.

Cleveland's police chief has said the three women held captive in an Ohio house for about a decade were restrained with ropes and chains.

Chief Michael McGrath told US broadcaster NBC that investigators believe the victims were allowed out in the backyard occasionally.

He added Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight were in good condition "considering the circumstances".
