Prince Charles criticizes ‘corporate lobbyists’ and climate change skeptics for turning Earth into a ‘dying patient’

The Prince of Wales has criticised “corporate lobbyists” and climate change sceptics for turning the earth into a “dying patient”, in his most outspoken attack yet on the world’s failure to tackle global warming.

He attacked businesses who failed to care for the environment, and compared the current generation to a doctor taking care of a critically ill patient.

“If you think about the impact of climate change, [it should be how] a doctor would deal with the problem,” he told an audience of government ministers, from the UK and abroad, as well as businesspeople and scientists. “A scientific hypothesis is tested to absolute destruction, but medicine can’t wait. If a doctor sees a child with a fever, he can’t wait for [endless] tests. He has to act on what is there.”

He added: “The risk of delay is so enormous that we can’t wait until we are absolutely sure the patient is dying.”

His dedication to the environment and homeopathy go hand in hand. Homeopathy is a great thing for the environment and lessens reliance on chemicals and pharmaceuticals that only fatten the corporations.

Homeopathy is pure absolute bunk.

Charles may support fixing global warming but I seriously doubt he grasps the science behind it. His understanding of science is less then stellar.

The corporations behind Big Woo want their money just as much as the people involved in evidence based medicine.

I wouldn't suggest it replace sound science but it has it's place. I do not know how much Prince Charles advocates, whether it is on a large scale or homeopathy around the home and for general health.

Homeopathy is pure quackery.

It has zero plausible mechanism for how it might work. Diluting a solute beyond dilution limits is no way to treat an illness.

Putting aloe on a burn is actually a treatment; you're actually doing something.

Please click through the above Wiki link and see what homeopathy is really about.

Science has always been one of my weakest subjects, but it's not as necessary to be that well versed in science to understand that climate change is real.

The important thing is that he's calling out the climate change deniers.

What about you, are you angry that the Prince of Wales is speaking out like this? Do you believe climate change is a hoax or is it real? And does one have to be a scientific expert in order to trust scientists?

Seems like we're getting distracted in order to get somewhat little off-topic.

Just don't particularly like Prince Charles.

Good for him that he's fighting climate science deniers. Bad for him that he supports homeopathy.
