Erica Grieder is on Martin Brashir
talking about her book Big hot cheap Texas and the Texas economy since PBO was in Austin today.
I think she's terrible on TV. Her voice is a rapid monotone and mumbly-sounding. I can barely understand her. She has no accent, so that isn't the problem. It looked like Martin Brashir was having a hard time understanding her speech also.
She speaks of Texas' reworking of its tax structure, giving big business incentives and concessions. Nothing was said of doing anything for worker safety, funding education, or for providing a means for a strong middle class, though.
