Were trying not to take this personally.
But frankly, we feel like kickin somebody with our pointy-toed cowboy boots because real estate web site Movoto has issued a list of the Most Redneck cities in America.
Atlanta, Georgia claims the No. 1 spot.
Kansas City - the one in Missouri, not Kansas - ranks No. 2.
Rounding out the Top 10 Most Redneck Cities in America: Oklahoma City (No. 3); Nashville; Tulsa; Fort Worth; Arlington, Texas; Sacramento, Cleveland and Mesa, Arizona.
Named the least rednecky city in America: New York.
Wow. Surprise.

People like that may not be persecuted necessarily, but how can anybody claim with a straight face that most "rednecks" are anywhere near the most powerful group in America?

(24,461 posts)Cleveland proper has lots of diverse culture, food, music and things to do. I wish it's transportation system were better, but that's a nitpick. I would hardly call us "redneck". That would be Brunswick, Mentor, Aurora and Chardon.

MO really is part of the South.

(3,744 posts)I live in Arlington and work in Ft. Worth. There are some sane pockets in South Arlington but it is also the home of Rep. Barton (jerk) who is a loudmouth redneck.
Dallas and Austin are especially progressive.

(30,947 posts)I expected a redneck city, but found it was a very cosmopolitan area. I live just northwest of Atlanta and have yet to meet very many rednecks.
