Writing has always helped me to maintain my balance in a world that is, at best, sometimes grotesquely absurd.
I wrote this one about 15 years ago. If you ask me, a hatchet-man is a scary thing indeed.
Mr. Bright
Lurking in the working place
There is a man without a face
There is a man named Mr. Bright
Who never ever sleeps at night
Who has no need for any bed
He has a hatchet for a head
And though his shadow stalks these halls
And leaves its stain upon the walls
And though you feel a thrill of fear
Whenever Mr. B is near
It still may come as quite a shock
When its your time
When its your turn
When its your head
Upon the chopping block
Mr. Bright has come to rob you
Of your house and car and job
They brought him in to chop a little
Hes not paid to sit and whittle
Its nothing personal, you see
It could be you or them or me
And hes just got his job to do
Ohhhhhhh... the same as you
Hes got a big ol axe to grind
Hes got his eye on your behind
His teeth are little whirling blades
His hands arent handstheyre hand grenades
His eyes are cold computer chips
His ears arent earshis lips arent lips
But if you try to buy him drinks
And find out what he really thinks
Remember, hes still watching you
And hes still got his job to do
Hes got his own desires and needs
And many many
Many many
Many many
Many mouths to feed
Mr. Bright has come to take you
By the hand and drive a stake right
Down your throat and through your heart
And heres the most unpleasant part
Its nothing personal, you see
It could be you or them or me
And hes just got his job to do
Ohhhhhh... the same as you

And who doesn't like boobs?
