Impeachment

Mr. Obama, I think by now you are starting to understand or at least I hope you are, that the republicans are going to try and impeach you. You have played nice now for over four years and you still have not learned your lesson. Us liberals have stood by you while it appears that you are trying to destroy the safety nets in this country, but now the knives are out they are coming after you, make no mistake about it. I for one can understand trying to get along with these nitwits for awhile, but the time is over you need to dig in your heals and get ready for the battle of your life, and if you choose not to they are going to destroy you. Your administration has been acting like republicans for the last four years, you have not controlled the conversation on anything, now is the time that you Mr. Obama stand up and take control of the job that we elected you to do, and that is be the President of the United States.

3. "you have not controlled the conversation on anything" That's a joke - right?

Surely you jest. Obama has totally controlled the conversation when it comes to the ACA and then again at the end of 2012 when he forced the Republicans to vote to let the Bush tax cuts expire on upper incomes. He and VP Biden are doing a good job controlling the conversation on better gun regulation. It's not that they aren't controlling the conversation, it's just that the Republicans are so beholding to the NRA and other big-money interests and so intransigent on anything the POTUS supports that he doesn't get what he, and the American public, want.

which spiraled out of control for months?

Puhleeze. Have you forgotten the town halls and the rise of the Tea Party, particularly in the summer of 2009? Have you forgotten "death panels", a very reasonable and beneficial proposal that was dropped from the final bill? Have you forgotten the flap over requiring birth control be included in all policies...well, except for some.

Your other example is equally suspect, given the stone cold incompetent negotiations over taxes (the line in the sand--and campaign issue--was raising taxes on incomes over $250,000 and that's not what we got, was it?), the debt ceiling, the sequester...

I think you are right that the rise of the Tea Party and people like Bachmann do introduce a great deal of noise into our political discussions. Yes, those people did get an inordinate amount of coverage from the media that was completely undeserved given the lack of substance and reality of their arguments. Yes, they did control the argument, the conversation, for a time. I won't dispute that.

Call me Pollyanna, but I think the electorate are waking up to their BS. Call me Pollyanna in refute. You'd probably have a point.

President Obama set-up an excellent web site, everything he does is there.

Briefing Room

The White House provides timely and accurate information about the President's latest events and public statements. Here you'll find photos, video, and transcripts, as well as proclamations, executive orders, and press releases.

There is zero chance of Congress impeaching President Obama. Actually, less than zero.

The current "investigation" is intended only to smear Clinton's reputation. It is aimed at those voters who might be "undecided" going into 2016, of if they will vote for the Democrat or republican.

The throwing around of the term "impeachment" is merely throwing red meat to the absolute fools within the right wing ..... people with little or no connection with reality.

Impeached by the House? Very doable by those whacks, if they could just settle on a reason.

Last week the top leader republican called the little RW "squishes" and McCain called the baggers "Hobbits"....

When will the 'little' republicans get the idea they are only a vote and mud slingers, worth nothing more to republican party.?

by 2000 we had Bush and a repub House and Senate. 4 short months later Bush was signing his tax cuts for the rich.

Why wouldn't they try again? America rewarded them last time.

Lets just sit the President down under oath and ask him what? Did you have sex with Benghazi or the e-mails? All of the e-mails? Why are you people running with idle threats? Silly loose lips. You have no business writing with that type of mentality. I question your sincerity as well!

We're very lucky as Americans to have our freedom of speach. That goes both ways. You and I are free to post our opinions and others are free to discuss those opinions.

I would suggest to not take all the news of what goes on in politics directly and only from the news. Go to the source and read exactly what the President and the official Gov. documents say. These records will be the only things remaining forever in Americas history. http://www.whitehouse.gov/

"Your administration has been acting like republicans for the last four years, you have not controlled the conversation on anything"

...isn't accurate. He just won re-election in a landslide. Don't confuse the GOP shill media noise with "the conversation."

In fact, the Republican Party is become more and more desperate, which is why they've upped the noise level.

Too much positive economic news, Boehner cries, "Benghazi"
