The data in the Current Population Survey (pdf) reveal rising black turnout and falling white turnout in 2012, but even if turnout rates shift to a more typical pattern without Barack Obama on the ballot in 2016, the constantly increasing non-white share of the population means that the GOP's door moves a little closer to slamming shut each year.

(35,392 posts)you know, the one which helped create the 'baggers, focused on the million moron march led by Beck, and allows the Repugs to filibuster everything and BLAME REID FOR NOT GETTING ANYTHING DONE (by not having 61 democrats bust a filibuster ... because there are not even 59 democrats in the Senate now).
Today's "liberally-biased media" is used as a bullhorn for the Republicans. Obama scores a minor win ... let's cut to Boner getting the last word. Republicans score a minor win. Let's cut to Boner for his celebration.

None of the "l.b.m." bothered to shut the Repug m*****-f*****s up and point out ... "Yes, the Supreme Court gave Bush the election." It was all "Move along, nothing to see."

There is no left-wing party in America today. We have a right-wing party and a centrist party.
