(11,464 posts)It's great to put down homophobia from a tweeter, but not if one tweets a sexist comment to do so.
That is not good either.
would the comment have been made is the homophobic tweeter was bald, or was wearing a wig due to cancer therapy?

(45,319 posts)The lengths some will go to whine when any positive thing is posted about LGBT people never ceases to amaze me.
I think the OP is trying to make some bridge building. Why not allow that?

(11,464 posts)Donald Trump on purpose wears a wig to gain attention.
Argue Donald not his hair.
Phil Spector wore funny hair. Argue that he killed someone in cold blood to watch a woman die and got off on it and got convicted of guilty and is jail. Don't worry about his hair.
sexist can be male or female
bald with wig can be male or female
I wonder if this was the 1970s and the person would have said the same about Farrah Fawcett who later had to wear wigs due to, you guessed it, chemo.

(45,319 posts)the point being made about equality? You claimed hair jokes are sexist, when what they are is hair jokes. It offends you that a joke was made about someone's hair more than it offends you that the woman is attacking the basic rights and dignity of others.
Never ceases to amaze, the lengths some will go.

(11,464 posts)and I have been blasting Andrew and Mario Cuomo for decades over their gay smear on
former mayor Ed Koch (who himself revealed the smear for those that forgot about it, on his deathbed obituary).
so once again, you are making it personal about me, instead of the thread.

(45,319 posts)comment' and sexist is not the same, and I think you do that to distract from the message of equality.
Shifting riffing nonsense is an insult to the subject matter. I think it is one thing to do this in your own OP's but this is not yours to stink up.
This woman is a bigot oppose to the basic rights and dignity of millions, one of whom make a wise crack about her hair. Your priorities are crystal clear.

marriage equality finally about to become law in Minnesota. Once they find out that it doesn't actually affect their lives in any way, they'll still be whining about it. That's what Republicans do. They whine about stuff.
Personally, I'm going to be listening closely to hear the MN Senate voting in favor of marriage equality. Then, I'll be watching for the Governor's signature. I've started cheering already.
My wife's cousin and his partner of 27 years will finally get the chance to marry in the state where they live. Now, that's something to celebrate, not something to whine about, Republicans.
Is there a possibility you omitted a word in your last sentence? It doesn't read right.
