A video taken by another passenger on the flight shows police escorting the woman off the flight while she continues to sing out loud and off-key.
The man who took the video said that the woman was "screaming and singing" for an hour, according to KMBC.com.
"The woman was being disruptive and was removed from the plane for interfering with the flight crew," airport spokesman Joe McBride told KCTV. "There was a federal air marshal on the aircraft, who subdued the woman and put her in cuffs and removed her from the plane."

I was stuck on the middle seat of the middle section. The seat did not recline. The little screen on the back of the seat in front of me was about 20 inches from my face and once in a while a commercial came on which I could not turn off. After about 4 hours of trying to sleep sitting up I was really tired and stiff.
Maybe this woman felt the same as me.

(20,814 posts)an earworm that would be worse; I think I'd want to hurl myself out of a plane's window to get away from it. Although I do agree that Dolly Parton's original version is ten thousand times better and easier to hear than Whitney's. I never understood all the fuss over Whitney, a horrendously overrated, overhyped "talent", who wasted the talent she DID have with drugs and bad choices.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Will_Always_Love_You
"I Will Always Love You" is a song by American singer-songwriter Dolly Parton. The country track was released on June 6, 1974 as the second single from Parton's thirteenth solo studio album, Jolene (1974). Recorded on June 13, 1973, the singer wrote the song for her one-time partner and mentor Porter Wagoner, from whom she was professionally splitting at the time. "
I am not a country music fan at all. Most of it I hate. But her voice is just so clear. She has a bit of the mountain music in her. Anyone who's ever heard Jean Ritchie sing knows what that is. Or if you've seen the movie Matewan you've heard it.
I have no doubt Whitney Houston was touched by that sound, too.

(38,187 posts)I hate most of it, but when it comes to Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, and a select few others. And yes, Dolly Parton's version of the song is sweet. Whitney Houston's version literally hurt my head and ears.

(2,252 posts)... and the Rolling Stones, or so reports Roger McGuinn (on Live From Mars). He and Gene Clark decided to write a song about the trip. They decided to write about the airplane trip. Gene said "Ok, how high do you think this plane is flying?". Roger replied "Well, it's around 35,000 feet, that's about seven miles high.". Gene thought for a few seconds, and replied "Seven miles high, huh. That doesn't sound quite right." So, ...
There is a little controversy about McGuinn's telling, but it makes a good story.

(1,989 posts)And, I like Dolly Pardon's version as well. In fact, I would be hard pressed to find a song sang by either of these two women that I thought was poorly done. And, if I had either voice, I would count myself fortunate. In fact...I think I shall listen to some of their songs, now. And, I know just which one I'd like to start with!!!

(14,272 posts)I point this out because there was an old woman who did just that on public transportation a few months back. And I got jumped on by people here for admitting I would not like it if I had been subjected to the uninvited singing.
So I think I understand how this works. If we belt out Whitney Houston songs and we are not a senior citizen, this is wrong by DU standards. But if we are in our 80's and sing gospel, it is considered adorable and inoffensive and I am a whack-a-doodle crank for thinking otherwise.
It is so hard to keep track of what is socially acceptable since I do not know the exact age or song book that makes that behavior OK.
