I wish I had a map publishing business right about now, or at least a for-pay atlas web site.

The biggest Republican humiliation right about now (other than Rubio calling for the resignation of the non-existent IRS commissioner), is the masses of Republicans full of outrage over Benghazi (or, if you're Dick Armey, Bangladesh), who haven't the fainest idea where Benghazi (or Bangladesh) is. My bet is that 2/3 or more of the Republicans screaming about Benghazi (and/or Bangladesh) don't even have a clue what continent Benghazi is on (or, probably, Bangladesh for that matter).

After the inevitable hundreds of millions of taunts from Democrats about this, think of the tens of millions of Republican Teabaggers scrambling to find out where Benghazi is on a map--ANY map.

Bonus headstart hint to any Republican trolls here, by the way: the Middle East is not a continent, Benghazi is in Africa, and Bangladesh is not. You'll have to do the rest on your own.

unless and until they can locate benghazi on a map (which I can provide, since my appt book has one). cuts down on a lot of nonsense.

8. Right, except that if they WERE to look at a map, they'd find out

Of course, if they watch Fox, they'd just claim that the maps of the world for the last 400 years are wrong, and Benghazi is wherever the Foxsucker of the moment says it is.

It is sad in any case, but it is sad that there were Soviet citizens who believed everything they read in Pravda, it is sad that East Germans believed everything they read in Neues Deutschland, and it is sad the that there are Americans who believe everything they hear on Fox.

4. 39 percent of people who think Benghazi is the biggest scandal ever don't even know where it is

-snip-

Photo caption: According to a new PPP survey, 39 percent of people who think Benghazi is the biggest
scandal don't know that it is in Libya, including 6 percent who think it's in Cuba.

This is amazing, from Public Policy Polling's latest national survey:

One interesting thing about the voters who think Benghazi is the biggest political scandal in American history is that 39% of them don't actually know where it is. 10% think it's in Egypt, 9% in Iran, 6% in Cuba, 5% in Syria, 4% in Iraq, and 1% each in North Korea and Liberia with 4% not willing to venture a guess.

The embassy was attacked, it's not quite the same as the POTUS re-election committee breaking into opponent HQ. Or the deliberate things done in Iran Contra.

Some clever Fox-watching Koch operative probably poured $150 million into the Rhode Island Republican Party and had $49.95 left over for Virginia and Florida, thus handing both to Obama on a silver platter. As every good Foxsucker knows, Rhode Island has ten times as many electoral votes as Virginia and Florida combined, right?

Hey, if Alaska is in Indonesia and Egypt is next to Iran, who's to say I'm wrong? Sarah Palin could then say she can see Bali from her front porch.
