It helped put a DFL majority in the Legislature and energized the pro-equality citizens of MN.

If they hadn't overreached and pushed their hateful amendment, marriage equality supporters wouldn't have had the organization, motivation, and energy to make this happen.

And if they hadn't gone so extreme with the rest of their agenda, we wouldn't have the DFL majorities in the legislature that were necessary either.

So I never thought I'd say this, but thanks Republicans! Your hateful, spiteful narrowmindedness backfired in a wonderful, spectacular way.
