Anyone got a link to where a Tea Party group has advocated illegal tax evasion?

I keep seeing this claim posted here as a justification for the special targeting by the IRS of these groups, but I have never seen any evidence provided to back this claim up.

Some evidence of this claim would be useful in this debate. Thanks in advance.

This is not them advocating, this is them actually abusing the laws to get them under the nonproft umbrella, which some mioght consider a technicality, but if they are doing the crime, it is hard to say they would not advocate.

3. The first link is a semi-coherent blog that contains no evidence of anyone advocating tax evasion.

The second link is about the activities in 1993 of some group called the "Pilot Connection".

were for non political organizations. That is the whole purpose of the 503. If every tea party and their mother claimed they were non political, all the while advocating for groups like true the vote, how is that not fraud?

Are you going to tell me that true the vote is NOT primarily political?

6. The question is not about what they advocate, it is about whether they should be tax exempt
Tue May 14, 2013, 08:05 AM

As far as I can tell the IRS is not auditing individual Tea Party members based on their political beliefs, what they have been doing is scrutinizing their tax exempt status. Groups that are primarily political can not claim tax exempt status, when a group that is primarily political does try to claim tax exempt status the IRS should step in and stop them from abusing the tax system.

It would be wrong for the IRS to target individuals based on their political affilliations, but it is perfectly acceptable for them to say that political groups can not claim tax exempt status as that
has been the law for years. Whether a group applies for tax exempt status under the umbrella of the Tea Party or the Democratic Party the IRS should stand up and say they do not qualify as tax exempt organizations.

...and that's what's gotten the IRS attention. The nebulous nature of these groups is what requires scrutiny as many of these teabagger groups were formed and maintained by big money donors who could launder money through these "non-profits" for what is best termed the "political welfare" system of operatives; mostly right wing. It's like tracking the money through a mafia syndicate...there's millions of dollars of cash flowing through a system where donors aren't required to disclose and the amounts gathered and spent aren't really accounted for. The opportunities for tax fraud are endemic and this is what the IRS was trying to unravel.

The evidence here is how loudly the right wing hyenas are howling about this. They know they've got a good distraction going and this also puts the pressure on the IRS to back off and let the money flow...
