one way, come in groups and are coming from the right?
So why are you believing them?

(793 posts)We are not the one's playing the with us or against us game. We are not the ones moralizing when all of the facts are not in.
We ARE saying its likely complex, not as simple as they are violating the freedom of the press, the right to dissent and civil liberties.
We ARE highly skeptical of the timing of these releases, of this confluence of events.
We ARE very distrustful of the right, and suspicious of their motives.
But perhaps Skepticism in general is warranted and being called for, and thus we are not at the "you can only trust the White House" stage already.
not that you should automatically distrust the WH either. Anybody who has lived through the Clinton years should be automatically suspicious of all of this stuff piling up at one time geared to embarrass a Democratic Administration. Whatever some people think of President Obama, I'm also way more willing to give him the benefit of the doubt way more than Bush/Cheney. I just don't think he and his Administration are filled with a bunch of incompetent, corrupt cronies with negative agendas. Not everybody is great, of course, but his Administration has generally been managed and run cleanly and relatively scandal-free and most of the "scandals" that have arisen have been mostly Fox News/Glenn Beck/Breitbart-inspired "manufactroversies" that almost always fell apart under closer scrutiny. If I've had a problem with how he's handled these things, it's that he's usually been too quick to fire/demand resignations/withdraw nominations without first insisting on a more thorough investigation first IMHO. On some level, I just don't think that he wants the distractions but sometimes he needs to push back more or at least demand more evidence of wrongdoing before letting the right-wing claim another scalp.

(9,314 posts)There has to be some topic to fill the media air time, and knowing the media loves a scandal, and much of it is ticked off about the AP issue in particular, it is going along for the ride. The Republicans have no real issue to address that would interest the public because it is not doing its job. Derogatory hits on President Obama and Hillary might possibly be advantageous to them (depending on how many people swallow this craziness) in 2014 and 2016. So why not have a little fun, they think. And when did the truth ever stand in the way for them?
