In six seasons of Kitchen Nightmares, Chef Gordon Ramsay has never quit on a client. Until last week, that is, when he found Amy and Samy Bouzaglo, owners of Amy's Baking Company in Scottsdale, Arizona, simply beyond help.
"It is because they are incapable of listening," an exasperated Ramsay told viewers.
Ramsay was being unusually euphemistic: Throughout the episode, the Bouzaglos threatened some customers, screamed profanities at others, fired waitstaff, and proved generally terrifying.
"You have the right to run the business the way you want to run your business," Ramsay tells the couple after giving it his best shot. "I have the right to do the right thing. And the right thing for me is to get out of here."
...
Apparently driven right over the edge by a flood of one-star reviews on Yelp and similarly unflattering takes on their professionalism by Redditors, Amy and Samy have left a series of increasingly loud Facebook posts blaming their impending financial ruin on everyone and everything besides themselves:

You Must See Amys Baking Companys Insane Facebook Breakdown (PHOTOS)
Last weeks season finale of chef Gordon Ramsays Kitchen Nightmares featured Amys Baking Company Bakery Boutique & Bistro of Scottsdale, Ariz., a restaurant so vile and beyond repair that it led Ramsay to walk off the show for the first time ever.
The owners of Amys Baking Company were shown stealing tips from waitresses, calling customers by homophobic slurs, reselling store-bought food as if it had been made in-house and just generally being gigantic twats (to steal a word from Ramsay himself).
After the episode aired, someone took to the official Amys Baking Company Facebook page and posted the following message: We do not feel the need to make any excuses for our behavior on tonights show. The spokesperson then denied that the restaurants owners ever stole from employees.
...
In the past 24 hours, whoever has control of the Amys Baking Company Facebook page has completely lost it, posting message after message of rambling threats and denials. Its as good a corporate social media meltdown as youll ever see.

we petition the obama administration to:
Have Amy Bouzaglo Committed.
The owner of the Amy Baking Company in Scottsdale, AZ is obviously crazy. I think she should have a psychological evaluation and kept from interacting with the public.

As a curious talking point, it's been discussed online that both Amy and Samy Bouzaglo have criminal records, with Mrs. B (real name: Amanda Patricia Bossingham) serving time a few years ago on charges of bank fraud and misuse of social security numbers. Meow, meow, indeed!

But Amy, you're not Wonder Woman. I know Wonder Woman, and you're no Wonder Woman. And I should know. I'm Batman.

Gee talk about a conspiracy theory that is MEOW.
Now usually I like a good conspiracy theory, but it's clear that some may not know how the business world works.
If you're a restaurant, the last thing you need is a one star Yelp rating, thousands of Redditors calling you out, and negative press every single second of the day. Even worse, you're on television acting worse than a child. It's set in stone. If this was a marketing campaign, it was a huge flop.
I'm pretty sure several thousand other people would agree with me when I say that I'll never set foot in ABC ever. They're lower life forms than pond scum, they steal money, fire good employees, and charge you good money for fake food. Yep, total marketing success.
And of course they're going to delete their Facebook comments and claim hacking. All of the Internet is comparing them to the likes of the Westboro Baptist Church...nobody wants that distinction

(31,464 posts)I clicked on their FB page and one of the first comments displayed was from one of my FB friends from school days. These are some really, really stupid people. The cynic in me wants to think this is overhyped for publicity, but what good could possible come from this? As a "Yelp Elite" member, I never trash-talk a restaurant, but I'll point out shortcomings and ways I think the customer experience could be improved. But these guys appear to really need the trash-talking. They seem like total a-holes. My guess would be (seeing their bios) is that they aren't defending their restaurant, they're trying to maintain their money-laundering front.

(23,864 posts)...Ramsay was getting into it with Sammy and he said "You are not the gangster, I am!" This morning reports are coming from all corners of the Internet that not only does Amy have a felonious recent past but that there may have also been some extremely shady dealings behind the purchase of the business. There were also reports I pulled up (don't have the link, maybe Yelp?) from way before the show aired that indicated customers had witnessed physical violence from Amy allegedly slapping one of the female servers.
Now, if they've been running things like this for around 3-is years, and I think that's how long they've been in business, they would have absolutely gone under in most cases if they were a legit business. That and the extreme amount of money put into the place just makes me wonder if they're running more games than the one Ramsay uncovered in such a short period of time.
I remember hearing once that restaurants were excellent ways to launder money.

For pity's sake. You'd have to be IQ impaired to think they are running anything legitimate, particularly with how defensive they are.
