The Republican Election Plan?

They want a repeat of 2010, when the Tea Party organized and came out in droves to win back the Congress in a landslide victory. This time, they want the Senate in 2014 and the White House in 2016. But they have to find a way to fire them up. Make them believe that Obama is the devil. That he has all these scandals around him. Much of this entire passion play is directed toward the Tea Party.

Initially, it was Benghazi that was going to get them fired up but then along came the IRS scandal and all the discrimination against the Tea Party Patriots. Benghazi will have to go on the back burner for a while. From some reports, the Republicans are not real crazy about following the AP story. They encouraged it and would have done the same. They really don't care as much about the 1st Amendment as they do the 2nd...

But if the Tea Party finds out that the IRS "scandal" was mostly initiated by the Republican Commissioner of the IRS and Karl Rove Republicans with the intent of keeping Tea Partiers from challenging mainstream Republicans, then they are going to be pissed! I am inclined to believe this likelihood more than any insinuating that the President had something to do with it. When first you practice to deceive...

In my opinion, that is what most of these scandals are about. Republicans want the Tea Party to turn out big for the next election and they have to find some type of emotional catalyst to make sure they get to the polls. There is a possibility that this could all blow up in their faces?

If the Democrats wanted to go on the offensive, they would start today with a counter movement to appeal to African-American and Hispanic voters with the same goal in mind. If Republicans are able to get these "scandals" to stick and millions of Tea Partiers are motivated to go to the polls as they did in 2010, Democrats will need a strong opposing strategy...

If the IRS story was due to Rove and Company attempting to stop the tea party, the GOP will be in deep trouble.

I agree, go on the offensive. But I think the benghazibenghazibenghazi mantra is more about Hillary than President Obama (his "involvement" is just gravy).
