Talking about the new temp IRS commissioner.....did the person reading the news refer to his having served in 'Democrat' and Republican administrations?
I know how some here feel about the decline of NPR and it's reporting quality.....but 'Democrat'?
Democratic.
I dislike the other term and feel it's a product of some Karl Rove focus group bullshit.
Is it creeping into common usage?

(5,141 posts)How many times have you heard them reporting on "a handful of Senators" or "a handful of Corporations". Really now. A handful? I'd love to see that!
Like I said, pedantic.

So often I have heard an answer that is nothing but republican talking points and the host just goes on.........

(5,141 posts)We have many wonderful programs so that, although I've long ago stopped listening to ATC, there is still much meaningful and well thought out programming to listen to.
I could only hope that it has occurred to someone at NPR that listeners get more factual information from "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" than ATC and Morning Edition.
