9. I remember Newt Gringrich said years ago that he wanted to take away any liberal

cause since the new deal. They sure are trying like hell. I only hope are the young people in this country. They have to realize they are going to have to get out in the streets and protest for the things they need and want. The republicans aren't going to help that is for sure. When you try to nail the coffin of a man that was well respected there is something wrong with this picture.

11. There is no more loved man than Fred Rodgers in Pittsburgh....

My son (about 4 at the time) saw him walking down the street in Oakland one day. He ran up to Fred and said 'hello'.

Fred took 5 minutes (look at a watch and see how long that is) asking how he was, what he cared about, and making sure he felt special.

Not ONE phony bone in the man's body. Best human being I ever met.

15. In 1976, I worked for a few months at a place that redistributed his video tapes....

they used this startup called FedEx to send the tapes nationwide. One guy had to sit and watch every tape (via FastForward) to make sure every copy was perfect. Met the man in person and STILL loved him.
