Remember back in the day when the TeaParty used to say...

... that their groups consisted of ALL political parties: Republicans, Democrats, Independents ???

Now the 'Republicans' claim that it is the mean ol' Democrats that devised a plan to silence 'the teaparty' in order for President Obama to win re-election.

Hello, what happened to the "We are not only republicans" talking point? LOL

And since when does the word 'patriot' only belong to Republicans? F*** that shit!

The media needs to remind the American public that there are just as many patriotic Democrats as there are Republicans in The USA.

If I was an honest teabagger/Republican/conservative, I'd agree with you.

It's too bad there are no honest teabaggers/Republicans/conservatives...

about what happened to the Tea Party being non-partisan. That lasted for a short while, then it was like... "fuck it. This is too hard. Let's just go back to hating on the Left like we've always done." And I also hate how they've not only hijacked the word "patriot", but also the words "conservative" and "freedom". Nothing in their agenda represents neither conservatism nor freedom at all. They don't care about conserving things, and they clearly don't care about providing everyone basic freedoms and rights.

The teabaggers have always been dead-ender Bush Supporters, who have never voted for President Obama or any Democratic candidate.

and rec'd!

But if you're going to hold your breath and wait for pro-Republican corporate media to report fairly, please don't.

It needs to be said loud and widely . . . we don't have a fourth estate anymore!

We need to stop making excuses like: they only want to sell advertising, or they want a quick story, or Democrats don't know how to do messaging. We need to understand and accept that all media in this country have usurped our fourth estate and have been bought and taken over to become corporate propaganda outlets for the sole purpose of promoting corporate power and eventual reign through their chosen political party.

This is why I keep saying and will keep saying, that there is no such thing as a bully pulpit. That died after the FDR presidency. This is no longer FDRs America. The sooner our side understands this painful but liberating fact, the sooner we can finally be critical and cautious about the beltway media, the broadcast media, the cable media, the print media, and our radio airwaves media.

Until that time, we're nothing but easy prey.

that they're finally understanding and accepting that, what they call the "main stream media", are nothing but a bunch of right-wing biased propaganda outlets. Slowly but surely, especially after Jonathan Karl's shameful "reporting" and the media ginning up non-scandals to hobble this president - resulting in only a lot of egg in their collective faces - our far more intelligent and thoughtful media heads are now beginning to talk and write about the media giants' clear bias.

This is a good sign and a good start. Hopefully it will gain more traction soon and take hold by the time the 2014 election campaigning begins.

were the tip off. Not one of the shill media questioned the impeachment that did not meet the constitutional standard for impeachment. It was a demonstration of fraud by Republican partisan, radical, extremist zealots and the media jumped on board.

but I've NEVER met anybody who described themselves as a Democratic tea partier and if such a creature did exist, it would almost have to be something like a Dixiecrat, which AFAIK really don't exist anymore. Nowadays, people like that are just called Republicans, usually live in the South, and almost never vote Democratic. I don't buy most people calling themselves "Independents" either as most of them when speaking claim to feel "betrayed" by President Obama because of the stimulus, health care reform, etc. and constantly and uncritically regurgitate Fox News- and/or Republican talking points and usually wind up pretty consistently voting Republican in the end. Frankly, I still don't really know what the Tea Party stands for other than total and unapologetic opposition to all things Obama and Democratic/liberalism/progressivism. They try to dress things up to make it look like they have legitimate gripes about things like government spending, taxes, "Socialism", etc. but at their core is hatred of President Obama and "the left" in general and a desire to obstruct social and economic progress in this country, which is messed up given that most of them are screwing themselves and helping the 1% in the process but they don't realize it.

At any rate, though, I get your point.

They stand for what they're being cheaply bought to stand for: The death of democracy to be replaced by a plutocracy.

I have never seen them stand for anything else.
