(21,086 posts)as safe as they could be. Kids were undoubtedly scared, "staff" stayed with them, helped to keep them calm.
These school sons and daughters, mother and fathers, with families and kids of their own should not be reduced to the mere title of "staff".
They are heroes.

(21,086 posts)for us to dismiss the very people who spend more time with our US children than anyone. Its the politics of the day. My point is to combat that depersonalization. These are OUR people. Not Gates people, Not Koch people. Not billionaire people. If we don't care for them, who will?
So THANK YOU, you heard the message.

(21,086 posts)These people, real people, saved kids. In MY opinion they deserve our utmost respect. Do you have respect for these people who also have families and children waiting for them, hoping for them, praying for them?

People, culture.
Consider, have you ever been in a school in an emergency with potentially hundreds of kids at risk for harm?
