It's possible we could still have a happy (or at least less tragic) ending here folks. I've seen stranger wonderful outcomes before in my life.

I have seen devastation on one side of the street and on the other side nothing. These types of storms can do that. I hope we do get some positive outcomes soon.

as safe as they could be. Kids were undoubtedly scared, "staff" stayed with them, helped to keep them calm.

These school sons and daughters, mother and fathers, with families and kids of their own should not be reduced to the mere title of "staff".

They are heroes.

for us to dismiss the very people who spend more time with our US children than anyone. Its the politics of the day. My point is to combat that depersonalization. These are OUR people. Not Gates people, Not Koch people. Not billionaire people. If we don't care for them, who will?

So THANK YOU, you heard the message.

I come from a family of school teachers.

I am pro-teacher and I apologize for my wording. I posted in the heat of the moment.

These people, real people, saved kids. In MY opinion they deserve our utmost respect. Do you have respect for these people who also have families and children waiting for them, hoping for them, praying for them?

As a term meaning "a body of persons sharing a culture, a school culture. Staff can mean anything form a mailroom on Wall street to a snow plow driver.

People, culture.

Consider, have you ever been in a school in an emergency with potentially hundreds of kids at risk for harm?
