...but, the best thing I could think of seeing if I was a scared, trapped, injured little girl would be a happy dog.

I don't have a dog anymore, but I have cats. When I'm upset, I grab a cat.

It's odd how most dogs have an instinctual compassion, especially for children. I hope all their tails are wagging.
