Prop C passes in Los Angeles!

So yesterday L.A. voted to see who the new Mayor would be. Along with that were a couple of measures dealing with medical marijuana dispensaries and Prop C which is essentailly a rejection of Citizens United. Now the passing of Prop C doesn't necessarily change the law or anything but sends a strong message where this city stands on corporate personhood. Watching the news last night, I did not see one news organization mention it. All they covered was the new mayor and marijuana. What a shocker that corporate media doesn't cover the people saying Enough to Corporate Personhood! Oh well, I'm just glad that it passed....overwhelmingly!

Did they ever get any good hosts? Seems like every time I tune in they're talking about something really stupid. Heard Mario Solis on there and I really hate listening to him. I stick to KPFK and podcasts now.

But Stephanie Miller is on from 6 to 9 am, which is what I had been listening to and I still had it on the station when the news came on about the LA election results.

Hopefully this is a trend that sweeps the nation. Hell, if the anti-choicers can effectively end abortion with their city and state legislation then let's get the ball rolling on this!

by county and state by state until DC stands alone and must bow to the pressure and revoke Citizens United. It's too bad it has to be done this way.
