Uh, no. I live over the hill from that house and it's only a "bad area" if you're scared of the working class and/or people people who aren't lily white. Which many Tuppies are.

This house is across the street from me: has a lovely pool, is in town, built in 1955.

I spent more renting a 1-bedroom apartment there, oh, 20 years ago, than I did for my last mortgage in Colorado.

However, a half a million for such small houses is too much. My home is at least twice the size of most of these and at 1/5 the price, and we have 3/4 of an acre of land.
