Sen. James, "rhymes with no brains," Inhofe is saying, "The gentleman appears woefully uninformed. . . . Of course creationism is science! . . . By its very definition! . . . Look, God created the world . . . . and we base science on the discoveries of the worrld, don't we? . . . Well then, God created science. . . . That's why we all it 'creation science,' or 'creationism' for short. . . . Maybe the gentleman should have looked deeper into this matter before spouting off in front of the United States Senate!"

(19,357 posts)8. Yes. CAPTIONing at DU is a creative sport bringing satire to blossom.
But many of us try to channel our subjects, providing what they really want to say if they could get away with it, exposing their hypocritical nature, or showing the essential confusion of their spirit, etc.
But, you're precisely right. It's difficult to satirize the insane.

(30,674 posts)7. I heard somebody say "God is the ultimate scientist!" and it made great sense
revering science as well as the Almighty
Imhofe makes no sense. Creationism is not a science. It's a bizarre cult which tries to demonize science.
