He's so focused on the numbers and outdoing the next guy that he completely lacks the inclination or ability to maintain a marriage or even persuade any woman to date him more than once. He's 100% married to his job and resents any time off for doing anything else, even attending his own wedding and seeing the births of his children.

He'll put in that 80 hours a week and ask for more.

They're emotionally stunted human beings. And now they're being replaced by computers.

The women who escaped that brokerage would undoubtedly tell him they got the better deal. They own considerably less, but they can enjoy what they do have. He can't.

and unless a woman wants an absentee husband and father for her kids, she needs to steer clear.

Of course, the implication in the OP is that a woman's brains come out when the baby does. What really happens is that the baby switches on parts of her brain she didn't know were there and she sees what a useless farce that being so focused on nothing but increasing numbers for people who wouldn't give her the time of day is.
