I have many friends who loath Obama and have nothing good to say about the ACA. They are so misinformed.

20% for business expenses? No I think 12.5% is more than enough. 87.5% should be for actual health coverage.

The reason Medicare was made was because the insurance companies were screwing the seniors.

If they raise the Medicare tax then they can increase the payments to the doctors, problem solved.

Also, many seniors have supplemental insurance, so it may not be much of a problem anyway.

I come from a line of nurses and doctors dating back two generations.

To the nurses, tell it!

Because, if they have to spend 80% of premiums of actual healthcare, there STILL would be a 20% cap on profit and overhead costs that drive profit.

Medicare for All would be closer to 3% overheard, and that's what we've needed all along...

MEDICARE FOR ALL.... SINGLE PAYER IS WHAT THIS COUNTRY NEEDS!

Who do Americans trust? Nurses above all, and then pharmacists, medical doctors and police officers, according to a Gallup poll released Friday. For the ninth year in a row, nurses topped Gallup's list of professionals Americans consider the most honest.

More than four out of five polled rated nurses' ethics as either "high" or "very high," while more than 70% had high regard for the honesty of pharmacists and doctors. Grade-school teachers also ranked well, at 67%, but the perception of their trustworthiness fell from 74% three years ago, according to Gallup's November telephone poll of more than 1,000 adults.

And even though police officers remained high on the list, the profession's reputation also has slid in the last year. The percentage of respondents who believe police are ethical fell by six percentage points from the 2009 survey.

nursing, and has been told by fellow nurses yesterday, that when they take the state boards, they will be surrounded by the Marines who will be monitoring them? We don't understand why a profession that is considered in such high reguard would allow this.... and furthermore, if this takes place, this will be the first family member that will experience this... no one in my family of generations of nurses has every heard of this.... but this is a story being told in Wisconsin, and therefor we are bracing for the possibility that this is true....
