What do you do when ALL the supermarkets in your area donate to the Pubs?

mpaign and most to the Pubs. I went to JH's site (Jimhightowerlowdown.org) and checkerd the list of donors. Here's a link to his site. http://www.hightowerlowdown.org/node/3321#supermarkets Go down a bit on the dite and you'll see a breakdown of the different large donors, not only supermarkets, but many different businesses.

I was prepared to write to Publix, where I usually shop, and tell them that they lost a good, long time customer because of their political support, but the other supermarkets here are also on the damn list! What do I do now?

BTW, I don't really have a choice of not shopping at supermarkets. There are NO mo & pop grocery stores here at all! There are a few individual meat markets, and I guess I could get most of everything else at places like Target, but I'm not so sure that Target isn't as supportive of the Pubs as WM is.

Don't kick yourself because you have no options and have to buy at those places.

What I'd do is look at the way they treat employees if I can't avoid the stores completely. I've heard Publix actually has good employee relations like Costco. I don't know if that's true or not but is worth looking into.

My husban worked for Publix for a number of years, and their health care plan was good, they gave you a bonus every year at Christmas time based on the profitability of the store.

I gues you're all right...I'm looking for a Dem. supporting supermarket and there just isn't one. I am a member of ostco which does support Dems, but there's only two of us so I can't do all my shopping there.

In the end it always comes down to commitment. Almost everyone would like the world to be better so long as it doesn't inconvenience them.

Seriously, I don't shop at chain supermarkets. Don't even have any in my town.
