Erickson Fires Back At ‘Emo Lefties’

In a blog post on RedState.com, Editor-in-Chief Erick Erickson replied to criticism of his Fox Business appearance Wednesday evening, in which he railed against the uptick of "breadwinning" mothers he says is "tearing us apart."

"Many feminist and emo lefties have their panties in a wad over my statements in the past 24 hours about families," Erickson wrote on Thursday.

On Fox, Erickson expressed his dismay about a recent Pew study the found mothers to be the breadwinners in 40% of American households with children, explaining that a cursory glance at the animal world reveals that males are the dominant gender, and liberals who fail to see this are "very anti-science."

I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

“You know what I hate? Indian givers…no, I take that back.”

“I was walking down Fifth Avenue today and I found a wallet, and I was gonna keep it, rather than return it, but I thought: well, if I lost a hundred and fifty dollars, how would I feel? And I realized I would want to be taught a lesson.”

...I'm no Emo. I'm a woman. One that has been working full-time since she was 16 years old. One that raised her son alone. One that, on average, made a lot more than any of the 'dominant males' she chose to date/marry/live with.

Ass.

...I'm wondering on what authority this dimwit thinks he can speak about families, breadwinners, or for that matter, "emo lefties". I find no compelling reason to give a single fuck what this guy says. Republican talking heads have absolutely no moral authority to speak on...well, on anything at all.

And if a "bad" person adopts a phrase that you use, did you just start to "keeping company" with that person?

Erickson is a right wing nut job regardless of what terminology he adopts.

Often used to denigrate or dismiss various groups that are upset or outraged over something (usually justifiably) by associating it with ineffectual pouting or sadness.

I have occasion to use EMO as an invective against some people (Who I feel deserve it), like Boehner, or Beck. It's just using a stereotype as a weapon against assholes that don't understand any other form of communication.

that we left the jungle a long, long time ago.

And he is full of crap also. Lion female do the "bread winning". Males lay around, fight with each other, and sexually harass the females. I think this is true of lots of species.

Remind this nitwit that animals in nature dont take the SUV to the supermarket either.

among many species, including such apex predators as the shark, females are often bigger and stronger than the males. But it would be pointless. I might as well try and teach astrophysics to an ant.

The far right (old white men) cannot stand to see the "others" moving up in the world.
"Others" = women/blacks/minorities/non-Christians.
