What a week.

Operation "Spy on Everyone" seems to have been confirmed thanks to Jerry Nadler, and another war has been declared for fully-fake reasons, just to distract folks (as far as I can tell) from the astonishing news that we're all being spied on 24/7.

This sucks.

Unfortunately, I think the average American won't give a crap until some religious nut at the NSA starts blocking their Internet porn, or until their children get put in jail, without the right of habeas corpus, for checking out a site that tells 'em how to make bombs. (Curiosity won't kill the cat, but it can now get the cat a life sentence.)

This sucks.

I guess all that we can do is somehow position ourselves so when the bottom does drop out, we can help pick up the pieces. No, I don't know what that means. But something ought to be done.

How are they going to react to NSA's much much larger enterprise? Did they exclude the Queen's communications? If so, how did the know what to exclude?
