I don't think anyone in the clown car is going to be the nominee.

He will be their nominee. It`s what they want, anyways.

The only way they can possibly energize what used to be the hardcore rethugs.

Maybe they could animate him like Craig Ferguson's sidekick.

its hold on the House and Senate.

Yes, it's true that the number of seats that are in play have lessened a great deal, there may be a trend where some of those may not be as safe as they may appear.

There, at least in my opinion, several issues where Dems have some strong talking points against their Republican rivals. Part of it will be taxes and especially if many of them decide to continue the "no new tax" screed of Norquist and friends. It won't be just the Dems who will rail against this, alot of independants would hopefully see the inequity in this fallacy and look for someone who would have a much more centrist view.

I think it's going to be tough for incumbent Republicans to hang their hats on R-money for this very reason.

And, if on the odd chance that the Republicans go and nominate Sanatorium, well who is going to jump on that bandwagon?

I think there's a very good chance for Dems to pick up seats they may have felt in the past weren't attainable. But in that light, I don't believe that a candidate who is viewed as "far left" would be as strong a candidate as someone who is more "center left".

Obama's just going to run against some moron. Which moron doesn't really make a difference. He can out-debate any of them.
