Has anyone else heard from Repubs who are wondering what is wrong with their candidates?

A friend of a friend, former marine, former wall streeter - life
long repub,
now says, "These guys are crazy!!!"

no word if he's going to vote Obama in protest, or just sit it out.
However, if this guy is having questions, you can be sure that a lot of mainstream
nominally rational repubs are as well.

just wondered if anyone else is hearing these kind of reports?

Dont like any of them. These are educated officers. Officers wife said her Christian republican friends don't like any of them because of birth control. They go to church and are republicans but draw the line at birth control.

Personally I think the candidates are stupid to go that far on the issue.

and they don't talk politics these days. If I mention anything political they change the subject to the weather, sports or their particular physical ailment of the moment. It really is amusing.

to the Caribbean. They are Canadians and they ran into a lot of Americans. My dad, never one to shut up about politics, had no problems asking every American what they thought about Obama. He actually only ran into 2 who would actually admit to being Republicans. Both were disgusted with their choices. One said he might sit this one out. In another couple - the wife was Democratic and the husband was a registered independent but said he usually votes Republican. He really dislikes Obama and my dad had a bit of a chat about what Obama has done and that the Republicans have done nothing but obstruct. The guy said he was undecided who to vote for, but that is wife is pushing him to vote for Obama. Then as the guy is walking away with his wife, my dad yells out, "Well, realistically, what other choice do you have?" Apparently the guy's wife had a good laugh and the guy just shook his head, like, "yeah, I know".

Keep in mind too my parents are very conservative and likely told these people that they vote Conservative here in Canada. Hopefully, seeing some conservatives that think Obama is the ONLY sane choice changed at least a couple of minds. At any rate, my parents were pretty quick to let me know what Americans are thinking - they got back last night and told me the whole story on the car ride back from the airport, LOL.

From this couple in your story to Arnie and Maria, it just doesn't make sense.

Not even to badmouth Obama, cuz then that'd open the door.

It's sad and hilarious at the same time.

The other is completely disgusted with his choices, but will hold his nose in November.

They have to be seeing this and talking about it quietly in their strategy meetings. And yet their candidates keep spewing the same crap that drives their own voters away.

If we talk politics, their end of the conversation seems to be very brief. All wish someone else was in the picture.

If was a republican, I'd hide my head in shame.
We can all tick of the reasons we think each candidate is awful but why waste the space.

But I voted for Paul in Florida. Since I started paying attention I would not vote for one now. Most Republicans are just unaware of what they are doing. Their arguments are absurd. The GOP is in for a rude awakening.

That "permanent majority" malarkey sure went out the window too.
However, I worry some about 2016, but I am going to enjoy the time for what it is....for now.
