Norquist: Romney Will Do As Told

They have reconciled themselves to a Romney candidacy because they see Romney as essentially a weak and passive president who will concede leadership to congressional conservatives:

Norquist celebrated Mitt Romney’s emptiness and cravenness as virtues:

“All we have to do is replace Obama. ... We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We don’t need a president to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go. We want the Ryan budget. ... We just need a president to sign this stuff. We don’t need someone to think it up or design it. The leadership now for the modern conservative movement for the next 20 years will be coming out of the House and the Senate. [...]

Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States. This is a change for Republicans: the House and Senate doing the work with the president signing bills. His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared.”

That's the area we need to be focused on as well, with so many good people we could elect.

Even more so: the State and Local level!!

I can understand that this is something that is said in a back room amongst his friends - but out in the open for everyone to see. So all they need is a figurehead - a warm Repug body in the WH - and all is good for them.

Really - the American people need to see this. They need to realize that this is what it has come down to.

I'm hoping that the Dems don't say the same thing in their back rooms.

We really need to take this country back - from the likes of the Grover Norquists that have hijacked our government.

The Most Questionably Important Yard Gnome in History once again thinks way the hell too much of himself or how much power he actually wields . . . acting like he's some untouchable Mafia don. You piece of garbage huckster, YOU WILL LISTEN TO US and get the hell out of the way.

24. Norquist: evil architect of "modern conservatism"
Tue Feb 14, 2012, 06:18 PM
Feb 2012

He's the one who wants government to be "small enough to drown in the bathtub."

Other Groverisms:

"We are trying to change the tones in the state capitals - and turn them toward bitter nastiness and partisanship," said Grover Norquist, a leading Republican strategist, who heads a group called Americans for Tax Reform.

"Bipartisanship is another name for date rape," Norquist, a onetime adviser to former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, said, citing an axiom of House conservatives.

On Democrats in the minority:
"Once the minority of House and Senate are comfortable in their minority status, they will have no problem socializing with the Republicans... certain animals run around and are unpleasant, but when they've been fixed, then they are happy and sedate. They are contented and cheerful. They don't go around peeing on the furniture and such."

Fellow conservative Tucker Carlson's description of Norquist:
"A mean-spirited, humorless, dishonest little creep ... the leering, drunken uncle everyone else wishes would stay home."

An interviewer observes:
...At staff meetings, employees say, Norquist holds court while variously sitting on a giant red plastic ball, eating tuna from a can, rubbing his feet against a massager and sniffing hand lotion as he kneads it into his fingers. He excuses himself to go to "the ladies room."

He also played host to the Wednesday night gatherings of key neocons like Rove and Cheney.

Google him and gag!

Grover thinks of the President as his employee. Please save this for any that say "But there aint no difference between Obama and the GOP!) The GOp wants and eneds a stupid idiot to be a puppet, they did it with W. and Romney could finish the job.

and it might work. Republicans always seem to straighten up and get in line when it comes to big elections even if their candidate sucks.
