(14,337 posts)are just as much of a disease as cancer. Would they be berating a celeb who died of cancer? Of course not.

(1,485 posts)as long as it is a black celeb. This has nothing to do with the nature of the disease.
And--THEY GET TO VOTE!

(11,304 posts)smoking habits or just being in the habit of being black. That is enough for racists. I suggest not to go over to those sites because they work us up and I think that is just what they want. The best way we all can support freedom for ALL is by voting. Check now to make sure everything is in order when it is time.

(27,677 posts)but I wonder about the cause and effect relationship. Does Fox News turn people racist or are racists drawn to Fox News?

(14,337 posts)I was thinking about her problems and not the fact that she was a black woman. I am sorry I tend to think of people for who they are rather that their skin color. I didn't think of Whitney as a black celeb, but just a celeb. Sorry. Now I can see your point.

(135,425 posts)And the wingnuts at "little green footballs" are opposed to this? That's the shock, right there...this was the guy who stuck it to Dan Rather.
I guess the guy running that blog has had a slight change of heart--if Wikipedia is right on this score...

[edit]Charitable contributions
Little Green Footballs supporters have helped raise thousands of dollars for Spirit of America's "Friends of Iraq Blogger Challenge".[15][16] Supporters also donate pizzas for IDF soldiers.[17] In the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina several registered users also offered their direct services donating and transporting goods to the hardest hit, inviting contributions from other readers.[18] Johnson also posted a number of links to charitable efforts [19][20] and thanked his readers for their response.[21]
[edit]Pajamas Media
Main article: Pajamas Media
In late 2005 Johnson, along with blogger and author Roger L. Simon launched a news site called Pajamas Media (briefly called Open Source Media) featuring mostly conservative and libertarian bloggers and journalists (e.g., Michelle Malkin, Glenn Reynolds, Michael Barone, Tammy Bruce, John Podhoretz, Michael Ledeen, Cathy Seipp) with some liberal participants (e.g., David Corn, Marc Cooper). The name refers to Jonathan Klein's comment about bloggers working in their pajamas.
As of 15 September 2009, Johnson has removed all links to Pajamas Media sites [22] from Little Green Footballs.

(27,677 posts)I don't normally think of a blog as having an audience so much as it has readers, but I guess audience = comment.

(135,425 posts)any of the crazies they have on camera. When I first read that, I thought "No--they haven't gone that far over the line!"
I would not be surprised if some of them think that way, but they're not saying it out loud.

(14,337 posts)just like Michael's, and that is their gift to the world. We must remember them as they were in their prime for their music. I am sure they would want us to.

(78,249 posts)I particularly like how the bedsheet racists disguise their many, many N-bombs (at Whitney Houston?! Srsly?) by spelling them with q's instead of g's. Not bad for people who are dumb enough to drown in the rain.
