(1,325 posts)You have 4 candidates that are bat-shit insane, and a President that isn't. It's not rocket science.
The DK/NA folks are probably people who don't follow the news, so I won't fault them without further details.
Those numbers on Santorum will probably rise as the ban-birth-control thing continues to grow legs.
On a side note, I don't recall President Bush being as goddamn crazy as this lot.

(39,961 posts)That I agree with you - I don't remember Bush being as crazy as this bunch, either. He was a horrible president and did much to damage our country, but I just don't remember him being as batshit insane as to suggest banning birth control. That's so far over the line the line has become a dot.
"Those numbers on Santorum will probably rise as the ban-birth-control thing continues to grow legs."
...as he continues to speak.

(39,961 posts)he ends up the nominee. If he emerges as the frontman for the GOP, it's going to turn people off from ALL GOP candidates in both local and state races. They will have to tacitly agree with him, and that would serve well to get Dems to have solid majorities in both houses.
would be a huge embarrassment for Mitt Romney and the Republican Party.

(32,139 posts)Talk about having set a low bar, when these statements are the talking points being posted by the President's biggest supporters:
"Americans not scared of Obama's re-election"
"Axelrod: Obama's Not A 'Hypocrite' For Accepting Super PAC Money"
"Axelrod: Americans see a significant difference between the candidates"
What a shame that this poll was even considered necessary, and what an even bigger shame that most Americans still consider him only "somewhat different" from Mitt Romney.
