Claire McCaskill digging in to keep Senate seat (KC Star)

http://www.kansascity.com/2012/02/18/3438273/mccaskill-faces-fight-to-keep.html

"WASHINGTON -- U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill in recent weeks has criticized the president’s budget as too tame, and has teamed up with Republicans on several fronts to control spending.

At the same time, the Missouri Democrat has been one of President Barack Obama’s strongest allies, backing his agenda about 95 percent of the time since 2010, according to a Congressional Quarterly analysis. She also was one of his earliest and most vocal supporters when he ran for the White House four years ago.

“I just love her, so whenever I have an excuse to see her, I’m happy,” the president said last month when the senator unexpectedly showed up at an Illinois fundraiser.

But bouquets like that won’t smell as sweet back home in Missouri, where Obama has hardly been popular and McCaskill faces a tough challenge this fall to hold on to her seat."

...all the way. I think Team Obama is fucking up when they don't go full bore at a state like Missouri. Make the GOP bastards play some defense!

If he can motivate the young people/new voters to come out for him again this year, Obama can win Missouri.

And I plan to help! I signed up to volunteer at the nearest Obama campaign office earlier this week.

10. If 3,500 votes had gone in his direction, MO would be one of the first targets

We are being blasted here with commercials criticizing Claire and one says "Obamacare will cost us jobs".

So my friend said "How the HELL do they figure that? Health care jobs? Um, no."

LOL

9. The chamber in KCKS is working AGAINST the GOP redistricting plan for KS

There is one plan that puts Wyandotte County in the 1st district with western Kansas. That district would stretch across the northern part of Kansas from the Colorado border to the Missouri border. The KCKS Chamber of commerce is adamantly opposed to this plan.

Never thought I'd see the day when I agreed with a CofC.

and almost as embarrassing as Blunt.

I'll vote for her, but I was more upset at Blunt Winning in 2010 than If McCaskill loses in 2012.
