any company has been compelled by the gov't to offer health care coverage. it is not a requirement of any company. it was always a benefit.

Employers don't offer health care, by the way. They offer health insurance.

Why are employers the ones offering health insurance at all?

"Special privilege"? Nonsense.

They should just drop their health plan altogether. There's no law stating they MUST offer that benefit. Many employers don't.

part of his wages when it comes to pointing out how much he is receiving per hour,(remember the $75 an hour the auto workers where getting?) but now when push comes to shove it's the employer paying for it? We made concessions to get cheaper health care ( because of group insurance rates it is cheaper) so why do we have to take what they want to give us when we are essentially paying for it not them! They want it both ways!
