The GOP goal is to spill all their secrets and poison the well of politics for

30 yrs.

A black President has busted their public face of playing at democracy. It is no longer needed to play nice.

They are letting us know that public schools are a waste of their funds, public health is a waste of their time and money, getting rid of the pretend middle class who always were really working class is almost complete.

Their next goal is to elect an America pope and have the reformation come full circle. The next POTUS doesn't matter to them and never has.

Unless they can disenfranchise 54% of the voters, take the usual 15% from electronic voting and FU'd ballots and lose a bunch of votes/ballots, it's still going to be a very rough ride.

Additionally, the TeaPublicans who won seats in 2008 and 2010 haven't made a very good showing - Ryan and Cantor, in particular, are just too damn extreme, and Cantor's been gunning for Boner's job since he walked into the building.

The old guard Republicans might be fewer in number these days, but I'm sure they're even more horrified than we are at what's happened to their brand.

Of course, I could be completely wrong about this, since I don't traffic with many Republics. However, I did see some serious upsets in two rural Virginia counties last fall that sent tremors through the (R) establishment - two county boards, both school boards and others were tossed out on their asses. All were Republicans, replaced by other Republicans, because the people wanted change from business-as-usual and the cronyism that developed over 20 years or so.

Never presume that the GOP is thinking. They are reacting, but it isn't clear there is any coherent thought going on.

take over. Remember that the Chief Justice of the USofA is strong proponent of a Unitary Executive, which of course is code for dictator.

I figure they'll install their guy/gal in 2017, trash everything, blame the liberals, then whip up their Faux Noise morons to round us up and put us in camps.

The only piece of the puzzle I haven't confirmed is whether these so-called 'FEMA camps' actually exist.

These things are actually happening, all you need to do is look.

Do you really think education hasn't been getting worse? Do you not see that the middle class has been in decline since the '80s? Do you think these things are unrelated?
