Swell on our buoy dropped overnight but is still at a wide interval.
Just got out of the water a few minutes ago, been surfing fun waves for the past four days.
On a different note, I heard the Makka surf contest over in Yallas went well. Jamaicans taking wins
in most age groups, in the international field.

(268,645 posts)Yep the surfing is coming on nicely. Have you ever surfed in Barbados?
We went to the beach yesterday - August 1st is a regional public holiday for Emancipation Day.

Florida surfers. I usually stay on the West or south coast and drive up to Bathsheba (Soup Bowls) in the Mornings, depending on swell direction.
I have a friend from the Island(Barbados) who was president of the Caribbean Surf Network.
You probably know him, the Island isn't very big. He trains some of the better local surfers.
And coffee not tea for me too!

(268,645 posts)Sahara dust disappears. There's a huge system just coming off the coast of Africa but it will have to survive that dust and other factors as well.
Jeff Masters has a good piece on the Sahara dust.
