Just in time for the petering out of the latest Anthony Weiner sex scandal, the Post and Roger Stone are hard at work on creating a new one, this time with Eliot Spitzer. For the past three days, Stone, Spitzer' sock-obsessed nemesis, has been heralding the imminent unveiling of Spitzer's secret girlfriend/"goumada":

Of course, there's no scandal here at all. Even if he does have a girlfriend, Spitzer and his wife are separated and live apart from one another.

3. A Reborn Spitzer Scares The "Establishment"...

...he was a popular vote getter and I suspect and hope he'll win Comptroller overwhelmingly. Spitzer, like many politicians and men of power, put the wrong head ahead of the other and got caught. We see today that there are "second acts" if handled properly and not only that, that it somehow seems to inoculate a politician against future charges from political opponents. That is...unless you're caught flashing your junk all over the innertoobs after being caught doing it the first time (stupid magnified).

Spitzer was a highly effective AG and his new role could become Wall Street's biggest nightmare. He'll be back in the game and in a high profile role. I'm sure Andrew Cuomo isn't too happy to see Spitzer's resurrection either. So I'm not surprised to see a scumbag like Stone crawl out from under a rock and try to stir some shit.
